We wanted to continue communicating to you updates about out fall season. We had a board meeting on Thursday. We are still planning to put on a fall season. We are still working with our fellow MVS districts to have a normal fall season with games against both Middletown and other local districts. We are also working on alternative plans to play games just within Middletown, if that is what we are allowed.
We also discussed our plans to hold our fall season with protocols in place to be as safe as possible for coaches, players, referees, family and spectators, and the board members. We have plans in place and will be discussing them with our coaches this week when we have our Coaches meeting to review the season, the new protocols, and handling out their rosters. So you, as parents ,should be hearing from your coach later this week. We will be instructing the coaches to hold a parents meeting before starting practice. At those meetings, there will be board members who will talk about the protocols that we are putting in place and answering any of your questions.
As far as dates, practices can begin as soon as the coaches have their rosters. Our picture day and opening day is being moved back a couple of weeks to accommodate making sure we have the full go to play games from state and local officials. Our opening day and picture day will be Sept 12.
